"3" is a group exhibition featuring three artists exploring themes of light and texture; Meredith Bingham, Emily Schaefer and Rachel Vanderzwet. Individually each painter presents us with a distinct style and application, while together, the group creates an intimate and diverse poetry in the language of abstraction.

Artists' Statement:

My work strives to exist between abstraction and representation, focusing on the personal gesture and translation of multiple source material onto the canvas surface. I hope to instill a sense of movement and energy within the work and to actively engage the viewer, pulling them in with hints of recognizability while ultimately leaving them with an abstract painting seductive in its materiality.
